Doug Decker Presents: “Oregon Home Builders: Leaving a Legacy in Alameda and Northeast Neighborhood, 1912-1917.”
This free program by neighborhood historian Doug Decker will discuss the Oregon Home Builders Company, which built more than 125 homes, including many in Alameda, from 1912-1917. The company was unique among homebuilders of the era because it designed large, custom homes for the wealthy as well as simple, affordable homes for those just entering the housing market.
Using early photos and documents, Doug will provide an inside look at the intriguing rise and fall of the Oregon Home Builders, and the legacy of its homes in our area today.
Space is limited! RSVPs are required to alamedanewsletter@gmail.com by January 24.
